ACTIVE SCHOOL

BOHOL, PHILIPPINES

In response to the 2013 earthquake and typhoon that devastated the Philippines, the Active School is a transformative, low-cost school design aimed at innovating local construction methods and providing new classroom space for the 15,000+ children who lost their classrooms from the natural disaster.  The structural design for the school prototype, utilizes locally grown bamboo as the primary structural material.
