The Museum of Modern Art’s current expansion project by Diller Scofidio + Renfro seeks to expand the Museum’s public spaces and galleries in order to provide greater public accessibility and to allow the Museum to reconceive of its collection and exhibitions. The expansion integrates the current building with the new Jean Nouvel tower at 53 W 53rd Street and the former American Folk Art Museum at 45 W 53rd Street.
