Recently completed, the renovation and expansion of University of Pennsylvania’s historic 1958 Ring Squash Courts Building, designed by Ewing Cole, adds 12 new squash courts, improves circulation and connectivity, adds brand new spectator seating and viewing areas, and vastly improves lighting and daylighting conditions by opening up the existing monolithic brick masonry facade with (3) new triple height curtain wall openings and a new signature glazed entrance.

Additional Information
Büro Ehring provided curtain wall engineering and design, construction engineering services, and shop drawing services for all the new glazing areas to the curtain wall contractor, Advanced Glass & Metal. The system features a Kawneer 1600 series curtain wall base-loaded and anchored to the existing concrete slab, with lateral brackets provided along both existing and new intermediate steel beams.
